Book Inspiration
[03:21] My decision to become celibate and fully commit to purity and honoring my body from the God’s word inspired me to write the book. Being disrespectful and disobedient to my body by having multiple sex partners, made me a modern Delilah.
Criticisms
[07:46] Materializing that book, I received a lot of criticisms—from Christian to Non-Christian community. They felt it is a heresy for discussing about my connection and annotating my life with Jesus Christ. They also felt I am making the black-community look bad, which is not my intention.
Therapeutic benefits brought by writing her book
[10:24] It’s fascinating to see myself animated when it comes to my relationship with Jesus. Bringing my personality from my adventures and my tragic history with my older brother, is fun but tough.
Dealing with Criticisms
[11:52] I love learning about my personality by taking different personality test. I don’t care about people’s opinion in general. What have they done to me to warrant me taking note of their opinion? It’s like they will die for me to care for it.
[13:18] I encourage everyone who is of Christian faith to take heed of the Word on how you are beautifully and wonderfully created by God. Know the Lord, He had a purpose for you in mind since the beginning. Learn your weakness and own it. If you own it, no one can use it from you.
Must-read Chapter from the Book
[19:29] I recommend reading Chapter One and Chapter Six. Chapter One narrates my point of view prior to my calling, my culture and my mindset while Chapter Six narrates my transformation. My change of heart where I wanted to be a better person, not wanting to be seen as a monster and be used for positivity. Those two chapters are important in my life.
Single-blessedness: Pros and Cons
[22:05] I enjoy being single since 2018—wholeheartedly. My dad got sick with diabetes and I had to pick up his duties. Tending to my mom and grandmother, I gave up after experiencing it in a week. I salute those people who are in a relationship that can do that, it’s a lot of work.
[26:52] Perhaps, I need a few years to enjoy being single. I am contemplating whether I indulge in a commitment or not because I also need to consider the other person and the family that you will building. Enjoy being single.
Ministry: Accepting All of You
[35:51] It aims to identify the traumas, how to navigate on it and the process of healing.
Coaching: Building your Confidence
[47:59] In building confidence, it depends on what you wanted to do. As a coach, I have an array of expertise in many aspects—business, dating, and etc.
[48:20] We find the root of everything, conduct personality tests and ask questions about fear.
[53:21] I am basically teaching them how to make sure they follow the game of life. Looking at your fear, we look at that weakness and attack it head on—together.
What hinders confidence
[54:57] Fear of failure—people fear on making mistake because they think perfection exists. If you are afraid to do anything in life, then you are limiting yourself.
Ebony’s Pageant Life
[01:03:38] Being bullheaded girl, I stopped wanting to do pageant. I have experienced women in the pageant industry who are shallow, mean and two-faced. I don’t want to be in that world. My mentor told me if I will just allow them to be like that—not carrying integrity, pursuing my dream and things I wanted to do. With the hard truth slapped, I pursued pageantry and I loved it. I don’t want to be like them—being mean, shallow, and nitpicking on anything.
Putting my Wartime CEO
[01:04:50] I accepted that I am created for entrepreneurship. I have always been excellent with working for other people and with people. I was never meant for a full-time in ministry alone, but full-time ministry in entrepreneurship.
[01:06:53] I realized how I am already prepared and trained since I was young. Helping my godmother and grandmother’s business, I learned how to count money and the concept of taxes since four.
[01:07:40] I am dealing with my struggles. I want people who can affirm what I already know, someone to talk about my challenges, and to snap me out of it. I know that this is my calling, my purpose and I need to move forward and march.
[01:09:55] I am enjoying my entrepreneurship journey—the aspect of learning more about myself. I learned my issues with procrastination, dull moments and self-doubts. I utilize those with my coaching to my clients, and it is superb. I am doing it all with style.
